About ME

Capturing the beauty and complexity of the male form since 2012

Dramatic black and white photo with smoke effects and silhouetted figure in jeans.

I've been working in graphic design and photography since 1990, but started pursuing it seriously in 2010. I'm interested in all kinds of photography, but my portfolio focuses primarily on male boudoir, nudes and erotica. I'm also very interested in shooting couples--particularly non-traditional.

My goal as an artist is to tastefully capture the story being told and convey the mood of the moment through dramatic lighting, unconventional props/sets, and poses that are dynamic--yet natural.

Studio space is available. I am also willing to travel, shoot at a subject's home or other location, and enjoy shooting outdoors. My lighting is portable, allowing me great flexibility in the field.

An extensive professional background in graphic design adds some pretty impressive post-production work to my arsenal of skills. If you're a photographer looking for someone to polish up that ALMOST-perfect shot, let me know. I might be just the person you're looking for!

I'm open to just about anything, so let's connect and create some amazing shots!

Your photographer:

Daniel Allen

Casual portrait of a person in a teal plaid shirt against a white backdrop.

No two clients are the same.  Everyone has different goals, motivations, fears, insecurities, boundaries, and comfort levels.  It's imperative that you work with a photographer you are comfortable with and can trust while photographing your most private moments.

That's where my decades of experience working with men make working with me the clear choice. I work with you ahead of time to clearly define what kind of photos you want, any boundaries I need to be aware of, and exactly what kind of vibe will make your experience exactly what you're looking for.

Society tends to reward women for expressing their sexuality proudly, but frown on men doing the same thing. My goal is to create a safe space for you to express yourself in whatever way feels right to you.  Whether your idea of "sexy" is opening up two buttons on your shirt instead of just one or a reenactment of a scene in your favorite adult film, I work tirelessly to give you a space where you can create memories--and the accompanying photos--that will last a lifetime.

It's hard to get sexy photos if you don't feel sexy.

It's hard to feel sexy if you are uncomfortable.

It's hard to get comfortable with a complete stranger pointing a giant camera at you.

Trust me, I get it. I have been on that side of the lens plenty of times. That's why part of my process is to ease into your photo session and get to know you a little bit so, hopefully, when it comes time for more intimate images, you feel like you're hanging out with a good friend and it's less intimidating. That's why I insist on a minimum of 2 hours when working with a client--particularly at first.

Clients Say

"Daniel's work is decadent and stimulating. Daniel the person has teddybear energy that makes for a sweet container. We worked with a project in mind and he was a great director. He understands space and lighting. He allows for those of us posing to be and move intuitively and freely, whilst not forgetting the aforementioned. He set the mood with thematic music and we conversed throughout the session comfortably. I appreciate when creating art and human relating are harmonious. Working with Daniel was well worth it."
